Ginnifer Goodwin expressed surprise at the reaction to her recent revelation that she has been on Weight Watchers for much of her life. She maintains that because of the program, she has never been on an actual diet. She told People magazine, “I’ve never had an eating disorder. I’ve never had to go on a diet, and that’s because of Weight Watchers.” Goodwin says she was taken aback by the celebrity news and gossip hinting that she had problems with her body image since childhood. She attributes her success at conquering her childhood weight problems to counseling, exercising with her peers, and understanding portion sizes.
